Event start!
[It's about that time again, residents of the Thor! The intercom flicks on with a 'glub!' and a familiar squeaky voice begins to squeak - we mean speak!]
Goodness! Well, everyone, as you might have noticed, the Infinite Improbability Drive has been engaged! Nobody panic, though! It seems as though we're all able to breathe perfectly fine.
The Thor is on her way to our next destination, wherever that may be! As of right now we're expecting around 96 hours of travel before the Drive disengages again. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!
[And with another 'glub', the intercom goes silent.]
OOC Info:
The Thor has left the war (game) planet, probably much to the relief of many! On the downside, the Thor is now flooded to the roof in almost every respect. There are still some pockets of normalcy here and there for those players who prefer not to participate in the event, so if that is the case then please feel free to carry on as usual!
This is an environment-only event this time around. The only effects the Drive is having on character physiology is to allow folks who would normally drown underwater to breathe there instead...which is good, as we expect a good portion of the ship's population will be spending a lot of their time submerged while the Drive is active!
Again, objects that normally don't mix well with water (books, paper, computers, Guides) will be completely unaffected, so don't worry about your expensive new flat-screen holo-TV or your vintage SNES console - they'll be fine both during and after the event! Unless, of course, your character spills soda or something on them after the event ends...then we can't guarantee a thing.
We'll be ending the event around this same time on Monday, April 30th, at which point we'll arrive at our next planet. We're planning on having missions up the day after that as always, but we'll let you know if that changes!
Lastly, don't forget about April activity and room upgrades/wage promotions!
